The War-Related Illness and Injury Study Centers (WRIISC), pronounced "risk," offers medical services to combat veterans with deployment-related health concerns. We are located East Orange, NJ, at the Department of Veterans Affairs NJ healthcare facility.

    We are a specialty clinic which provides comprehensive post deployment health exams for veterans deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF). This evaluation is a great baseline for all veterans to have as well as for those dealing with deployment concerns or medical issues including traumatic brain injury (TBI), readjustment problems and musculoskeletal complaints.

    The exam includes a history and physical, psychological and neuropsychological evaluation, assessment of deployment related exposures and social work consultation. We also assist with the veteran’s transition in the VA System.
