PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE 2008
-
I'm privileged
to be able to address you as this year’s President and say how
productive and supported, by you, the Haddonfield Society is
-
The hard-working
Trustee Board is currently 17 in number, ranging from a founding
HAS trustee to three new members. The monthly meetings are busy
with plans for everything from the structure of the next
directory to “How can we better support the classes with reunion
planning?” As far as the latter is concerned, Trustee Tom Baird
‘56 has offered to personally assist any class, currently
without a website, in designing one of their own. Please take
advantage of Tom’s generous offer if your class.
-
For those of you
who are not local, last fall’s Happy Hour was an unprecedented
HAS event. It was held at Tavistock Country Club the night
before Thanksgiving and the attendance was amazing.
-
Keep your notes
coming - we read from them at our meetings. And, while you’re
writing us, don’t forget to nominate a classmate or favorite
teacher for a Lifetime Achievement Award. Deadline.
-
Last
fall, Wayne introduced to you Haddonfield’s new
Superintendent of Schools, Alan Fegley, as well as HMHS’ new
Principal, Mike Wilson. They’re proving to be an
outstanding example of the town’s accessible, dedicated
educators.
-
...which
brings me to Wayne Hunter. The board has been lucky to have
him serve as President. His energy, reliability and
professionalism will be a tough act to follow. Thank you,
Wayne, for everything you’ve done for the Alumni Society.
-
As
always, please feel free to contact us. We work for you.

Cordially,
Doug Oswald,
