  • PHILOSOPHY.
    Many years ago, the Haddonfield Alumni Society chose to go the “donation” route 
     rather than “annual dues”. As a result, we consider everyone who attended Haddonfield's schools to be members. We feel it was a good decision because:
          (1) The administrative burden required to track “dues”.
          (2) Permits all former students of Haddonfield schools to have access to the
                benefits "gratis".

      - Lifetime Achievement Awards ($1,000) - Responding to inquiries ( * )
      - Misc.- Postage, fees, etc. ($500) - Cost of Monthly Meetings ( * )
      - Participating in Fall Festival ( * ) *  No cost. Provided by volunteers.

  • EMERGENCY APPEAL -- YOUR ALUMNI SOCIETY IS IN JEOPARDY!
     
    Dear Fellow Alumni,

       
    - We truly need your help immediately!  As you know, your Haddonfield Alumni
      Society (HAS) survives on your donations.  We do not have dues.  In recent
      months (perhaps because of the economy), our donations have dropped off badly.
      We don't have a reserve. 
       
    - Consequently, we are appealing through our web site, for our alumni to dig into their
      pockets, whether it be $10.00, $25.00 or $50.00 to help us survive.  Our immediate
      debt is $3,000.00 for the last newsletter; however, a fellow alumni has stepped
      forward with a temporary loan.
       
    - Some of you may question why we have two newsletters (or even one newsletter)
      when we have a web site.  The answers are: (1) many of our alumni over the age
       of 60 don't have computers,  (2) many with computers don't view the site,
      (3) many of our alumni who contribute substantial funds come from an older age
      group and (4) the majority of our donations come as a result of the envelope in the
      newsletter.
       
    - Folks, we can resolve this problem if you, as a loyal alumni, make a small donation
      ($10.00, $25.00 or $50.00) today.
